Job Summary
As a Statistical Analyst, you will be key in delivering high-impact analytical solutions that inform healthcare decision-making. You will focus on applying innovative statistical methods to support evidence synthesis activities, analyses of complex data, and health economic models. You will contribute across multiple projects, taking ownership of core statistical deliverables while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, global environment.
In this role, you will apply statistics in healthcare, bring hands-on experience in statistical modeling and evidence synthesis, and demonstrate strong proficiency in R.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Executing analyses in support of evidence synthesis projects, including:
- Pairwise meta-analysis and Bucher indirect treatment comparisons (ITCs)
- Bayesian network meta-analysis, including meta-regression and non-proportional hazard methods
- Population-adjusted ITCs such as matching-adjusted indirect comparison, simulated treatment comparison, and multi-level network meta-regression
- Surrogate endpoint evaluations
- Undertaking statistical analyses to support health economic modeling, with support and guidance from senior consultants, including carrying out analyses such as:
- Survival analysis, including flexible and advanced innovative methods
- Utility analysis of patient-reported outcomes from clinical trials
- Bespoke statistical model fitting to clinical trial patient-level data for extrapolation and to provide parameter estimates for economic model inputs
- Developing and refining statistical methodologies to address client and project needs (in partnership with project teams and independently)
- Creating and maintaining reproducible, well-documented code for standard and customized analyses
- Assisting in the development and internal dissemination of statistical code for standard analysis
- Drafting clear, data-driven reports and contributing to high-quality deliverables
- Managing personal contributions to multiple projects and associated delivery timelines, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
- Supporting client communication and contributing to the preparation of proposals and project pitches
- Keeping up to date on statistical innovations relevant to healthcare and supporting internal knowledge sharing
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MSc, MMath, or equivalent) in statistics, mathematics, or a closely related field
- Strong programming skills in R; experience with building packages, RMarkdown, Shiny, version control, and STAN or equivalent MCMC software would be an advantage
- Knowledge of health economic modelling and applying statistical methods in healthcare or life sciences would be an advantage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex methods to technical and non-technical audiences, and question the status quo
- Self-motivated, curious, and able to learn new methods independently
- Able to manage competing deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset, but also able to work independently
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
