(Senior) Research Analyst – Modeling and Meta-Analysis

Job Summary
As a (Senior) Research Analyst at OPEN Health, you are an essential contributor to our Modeling and Meta-Analysis team, working across various HEOR projects, which may include health economic modelling, indirect treatment comparisons, and trial data analysis. You are proactive, responsive, and able to balance shifting priorities to ensure promises are kept and expectations are exceeded. You will have responsibility for delivering high-quality outputs and ownership of specific project components, deliverables, and timelines. You will support project leads in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary, international organization. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Designing and constructing health economic models (i.e., cost-effectiveness models, budget impact models) from scratch, as well as adapting existing models
- Developing project reports, analysis plans, and other deliverables
- Conducting relevant data analyses (i.e., survival analyses, meta-analysis) to support model development
- Helping to ensure timely delivery of project subcomponents by proactively flagging changes to scope and timelines to senior colleagues
- Supporting with client interactions and outreach to ensure client satisfaction
- Assisting with requests for proposals and developing strong client relationships to win new business
- Keeping abreast with the latest developments in the field
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or PhD in any relevant science, such as health economics, econometrics, economics, pharmacy, epidemiology, statistics or medical sciences
- We welcome applications from recent graduates as well as those with up to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience within the field of HEOR would be an advantage, specifically hands-on experience in the development of cost-effectiveness and budget impact models, and familiarity with the context of health economic modelling, reimbursement dossiers, and health technology assessment submissions
- Experience with (statistical) software: VBA, R (version control, RMarkdown and Shiny), STAN (or equivalent MCMC simulation software) would be an advantage.
- Intellectual curiosity and independence, to include the ability to self-start and self-teach
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) along with the ability to clearly communicate complex methods to other team members and our clients
- Proactive, responsive and able to balance shifting priorities
- Team player, but also able to work independently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Full proficiency in MS Office programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
