Senior Associate Market Access Consultant

Location: Remote UK 

Job Summary

The Senior Associate Market Access Consultant is responsible for delivering a broad range of evidence generation and market access projects that support successful reimbursement and market access for clients’ assets, ultimately helping to improve outcomes for patients. In this role, you will contribute to the development of payer strategies, value communications, and evidence-based solutions for pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device clients across global markets. You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality, impactful projects while supporting the continued growth of the Strategic Market Access Centre of Excellence.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver timely, high quality and profitable market access projects
  • Management of project timelines and tracking of project activities including regular communication with clients
  • To be aware and demonstrate an understanding of the client’s strategic objectives and access challenges
  • Take the lead on  projects and maintain a client facing role throughout the delivery of projects, being accountable for ensuring that client objectives are met to the final deliverable.
  • Work across the different service lines within Strategic Market Access
    • Evidence Synthesis
    • HTA submissions
    • Value communication
    • Global Payer Strategy
  • Support in the development of new business proposals
  • Maintain and demonstrate a working knowledge of UK, EU and Global healthcare environments to support client delivery and business development
  • Show level of financial awareness with responsibility for phasing and all financial aspects where project lead, with actions completed within the specified timeframes
  • To identify and secure opportunities for market access business with support from the wider OPEN Health team
  • Maintain thorough working records of all project activities
  • Contribute to the continuing achievements and annual targets of Market Access/OPEN Health
  • To support the development of junior members of the market access team 
  • Effective cross-functional working with all internal teams to ensure that the delivery of projects is as efficient and effective as possible
  • Maintain the credibility and reputation of the Market Access team in all dealings with internal and external clients at all times

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Graduate or relevant healthcare qualification
  • Experience in Pharma, consultancy or related industry
  • Good working knowledge of structure and function of the UK, EU or Global healthcare environments
  • Experience of working in market access in the pharmaceutical industry or consultancy
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry; relating to product development, approval, marketing and continued lifecycle management
  • Experience across a range of specialities
  • Proven track record of project management from conception through to delivery 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • IT literate – working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint essential
