Data Research Analyst – Real World Evidence (Data Science focus)
Location: India - Mumbai or Bangalore
Job Summary
Our Data Research Analysts on the Real World Evidence team are responsible for supporting the delivery of a range of evidence-generation and data analysis projects to support our clients
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the development of project protocols and statistical analysis plans (SAPs) for RWE studies that source data from various sources, including electronic health records, claims databases, registries, and primary data collection activities.
- Undertaking the extract, transform, load (ETL) process for different real-world datasets
- Conduct data preparation for analyses (cleaning & wrangling), ensuring reproducibility and quality.
- Perform data analysis of projects according to the specific study protocol and/or statistical analysis plan
- Produce descriptive and summary statistics for projects without supervision, and present to scientific team members for interpretation
- Support the production of comparative and inferential statistics, including regression modelling, and basic statistical tests as needed
- Be part of a continuous improvement process within RWE by implementing new processes or methods, and encouraging automation and efficiency gains through code
- Provide writing support and quality control on final study results and reports as needed, producing visualisations of results
- Communicating with the internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely execution of the project
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare research and clinical data analysis or related fields preferred
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in health data science, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field
- Proficiency in R, preferably familiar with the Tidyverse and an ability to present complex statistical findings visually
- Good working knowledge of SQL and/or other relational databases or data manipulation languages
- Sound understanding of real-world data, and of the data generation process for claims, electronic healthcare records, registry data, and other health databases etc.
- Sound understanding of fundamental statistical practice, methods, and experience performing analyses of observational data, including longitudinal data analysis, regression modelling, and visualization
- Superior communication skills and the ability to question the status quo
- Ability to forge and effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Solid communication ability both verbally and in writing (preferably experience in publications or systematic review reports)
- Proactivity, responsiveness, and the ability to balance shifting priorities to ensure that timelines and objectives are met and expectations are exceeded
- Excellent problem solving and critical-thinking skills
- Proficient in MS365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
