Job Summary
Our Research Analyst, Strategic Market Access (SMA) is accountable for supporting scientists and directors on projects such as product dossiers, value decks, literature reviews, and other evidence synthesis that evaluate the value of pharmaceutical products and medical devices.
Research Analysts within the OPEN Health SMA group research medical topics using relevant and credible information sources. They synthesize complex data clearly and concisely using both text and visuals ensuring accuracy throughout the content development process. They work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams to develop client ready materials under the guidance of more senior OPEN Health colleagues.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Drafting and revising scientifically accurate, fully referenced project deliverables including publications (abstracts, posters, manuscripts), dossiers (AMCP, core/global value), value slide decks, reports, etc. appropriate to the target audience, congress and/or journal
- Conducting literature reviews to support the need and value of new pharmaceutical products and medical devices
- Synthesizing complex data clearly and concisely from multiple sources using both text and visuals
- Facilitating the publication process for our work and contributing as an author where appropriate
- Creating and managing reference/citation databases using various software packages
- Understanding expectations in terms of budgeted hours and deadlines, and communicating with team regarding these as needed
- Working closely with account members and senior leadership team members in coordinating work to accomplish project goals
- Communicating promptly with external clients via email and virtual platforms (such as Microsoft Teams or Webex), applying strong listening skills to accurately document discussions and identify clear follow-up actions
- Supporting senior team members in proposal development and building and fostering strong client relationships
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in health policy, public health, health services research, health administration, health economics, or any other related sciences
- 1+ year of experience working directly in healthcare research, market access or related field
- Excellent writing skills and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality content
- Flexible approach and ability to manage competing or shifting priorities to ensure deadlines are kept and expectations are exceeded
- Enthusiastic, self-starter with a desire to learn will create growth opportunities in this role
- Proficiency with literature searches and MS365 including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint), including figure and table development. EndNote and AI experience is a plus!
- Superior communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proven ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to a variety of audiences including clients, policymakers, and a global scientific community
