Job Summary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As part of the Creative Services team, you’ll be responsible for the following activities:
- Reviewing and graphically enhancing Microsoft PowerPoint medical/scientific presentations
- Accurately and consistently creating graphs, tables, and figures for scientific publications based on publication specifications
- Designing and producing layouts for scientific posters using Adobe CC software
- Assisting with developing high-quality scientific medical communications in selected therapeutic areas, including abstracts, posters, outlines, primary and review articles, monographs, slide presentations, meeting summaries, and other materials; may be de novo or repurposed
- Working closely with medical, editorial, and account management personnel in coordinating work to accomplish project goals
- Consulting with creative, account, medical, new business, and varying internal teams to conceptualize and develop video, animation, or interactive elements for assigned projects, campaigns, and/or new business pitches
- Adapting existing and newly created layouts for different formats (print and digital)
- Creating cohesive design formats across various materials relative to target audience
- Maintaining scientific poster schedules
- Determining need for outsourcing based on poster schedule on a daily/weekly basis, with an emphasis on keeping work in-house
- Providing creative design recommendations based on experience and account/client needs
- Assuring all work meets corporate brand standards and quality assurance guidelines
- Routinely reviewing congress, company, and journal guidelines to assure products meet the specifications outlined
- Researching, concepting, and mocking up visual design assignments as needed for new business and pitch presentations
- Developing a variety of creative and scientific graphics, concepts, and visual-related assets in a fast-paced, timeline-driven work environment
- Providing professional, timely responses to all internal and external communications
- Participating in internal status meetings, as needed
- Participating in internal skills development courses as requested by manager
- Managing occasional increase in workload/volume across multiple clients and accounts while ensuring quality and accuracy
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (marketing, design, creative, or medical-related preferred); advanced degree is desirable
- Minimum of 5 years of medical advertising/medical communications/publications agency and/or pharmaceutical graphics department experience
- Passion related to creative/digital and the role it plays in supporting healthcare communications
- Ability to enjoy working in a fast-paced medical communications agency environment
- Collaborative approach to foster closely working with expert developers and client service teams
- Strong attention to detail
- High level of organization and meticulous attention to detail
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to handle high levels of account activity
- Ability to work both independently and in a team structure
- Expertise in PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Significant working knowledge and experience in the use of MS365 including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to learn new creative software and utilize additional software functions
- Being “on trend” with design elements through personal research
- Strong project management capabilities
- Ability to comply with established standards, policies, and procedures
