Global Client Partner

Job Summary
The Global Client Partner (GCP) is a senior commercial leader responsible for driving Zone 2 growth — expansion within a select set of high-potential clients. Each GCP owns a small portfolio of strategic accounts and is accountable for ensuring OPEN Health supports clients’ highest-value assets by expanding into new buyers, assets, and capabilities.
This role is about being a true partner in the room — anticipating issues, shaping decisions, and converting client needs into integrated solutions that leverage OPEN Health’s full capabilities (medical affairs, market access, commercial strategy, patient engagement, promotional medical communications, and consulting).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Developing and executing strategic growth blueprints that identify whitespace opportunities, new stakeholders, and high-value assets across the client’s portfolio
- Driving expansion into critical client priorities — including breakthrough launches and lifecycle initiatives — to ensure OPEN Health is engaged on the most impactful work
- Acting as a senior strategic advisor to client executives, building trusted, long-term partnerships that extend beyond transactional business development
- Guiding lifecycle planning by prioritizing indications, shaping evidence generation and HTA pathways, and supporting launch readiness
- Translating complex client challenges into measurable, scoped solutions that leverage OPEN Health’s full capabilities
- Ensuring all proposals and pursuits are anchored in clear client objectives and tied to defined success metrics and KPIs
- Collaborating with Medical Strategy, Business Development, Growth Operations, and delivery leads to co-create and execute integrated client solutions
- Orchestrating cross-functional internal teams to deliver efficiently, maintain momentum, and build lasting client confidence
- Monitoring client health through pipeline metrics, win/loss analysis, and strategic feedback loops to inform ongoing engagement strategies
- Championing internal alignment, cultural cohesion, and shared accountability across OPEN Health teams to ensure consistently high-quality client delivery
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PhD, MSc, MBA, or equivalent) in a relevant scientific, medical, commercial, or healthcare-related field
- Minimum 12 years of experience in senior client leadership roles within life sciences professional services (e.g., medical communications, market access, consulting)
- Proven track record of growing complex, multi-million-dollar accounts with global or enterprise clients in pharma/biotech
- Demonstrated experience managing relationships with procurement and legal teams to secure MSAs and long-term commercial agreements
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect client needs to strategic growth opportunities
- Executive presence and the ability to build credibility and trust with senior client stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver integrated solutions across multiple service lines
- Experience using CRM platforms, analytics, and AI tools to drive insight-led client engagement
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment while fostering collaboration and strategic alignment
Travel Requirements
- Up to 10% international travel may be required, depending on client needs and account locations.
