Finance Director
Location: Remote US
Job Summary
The Finance Director will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and lead financial management, reporting, controlling, and budgeting across the Group Functions area as well as leading, overseeing and optimizing operational workflows in the Financial Shared Services area. As a strategic finance partner, they will provide real-time insights, challenge assumptions, and support decision-making to drive performance. This role requires strong financial expertise, commercial acumen, operational workflow and effective communication, along with a commitment to integrity and compliance. The FD will also contribute to the FP&A function, supporting strategic decisions at various levels.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Building strong partnerships with senior leaders across the various areas within the Group Functions, acting as a trusted financial advisor and key points of contact to support, challenge, and enable effective decision-making
- Leading the budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting processes in collaboration with business stakeholders and Group Finance, ensuring robust financial plans that reflect operational realities and strategic goals
- Managing regular financial review meetings, presenting performance updates, forecasts, and variances, while promoting financial understanding among non-finance colleagues
- Delivering timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting and analysis that connects business performance to strategic objectives, highlighting risks, opportunities, and key drivers of variance
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of finance processes, tools, and reporting standards, ensuring alignment with wider finance initiatives and company objectives
- Focuses on driving efficiency, standardizing processes and leading the Financial Shared Services team to deliver quality transactional services to the entire organization through automation and artificial intelligence (AI)

Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- 10+ years of financial experience within a global company along with relevant qualifications
- Understanding of private equity or public company environments is helpful, though not essential
- Experience leading or supporting teams, with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style
- Confidence in using Microsoft 365 tools, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, in a professional setting
- Familiarity with financial systems, such as SAP or similar ERP tools, with a willingness to learn new platforms
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts in a clear and approachable way to colleagues across different functions
