Director, Solution Delivery

The Director, Solution Delivery plays a critical role within this technology enablement strategy, owning the successful delivery and scaling of a defined portfolio of tech-enabled initiatives. This role is accountable for translating business needs into high-quality, repeatable solutions that align to OHG’s platform, data, and AI direction while driving adoption and measurable business impact.
Working closely with the VP of Solution Delivery, practice leadership, business development, solution architecture, data, and engineering teams, the Director ensures solutions move effectively from concept and pilot into production and scaled use. The role balances hands-on delivery ownership with cross-functional coordination, helping convert innovation into operationalized, revenue-generating capabilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Solution Delivery & Execution
- Own delivery of assigned tech-enabled solutions from requirements through production release, ensuring outcomes meet defined business, quality, and timeline expectations.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable delivery requirements that guide engineering, data, and design teams.
- Drive consistency and quality across delivery by applying established governance, QA, and delivery frameworks.
Technology Enablement & Alignment
- Ensure delivered solutions align to OHG’s broader technology enablement strategy, including platform, data, and AI standards.
- Partner closely with Solution Architecture and Data teams to promote reuse, modularity, and reduction of fragmented or one-off solutions.
- Help embed AI- and data-driven capabilities into workflows in practical, scalable ways.
Commercialization & Growth Support
- Contribute to the commercialization of tech-enabled solutions by supporting adoption, reuse, and expansion across practice teams and client engagements.
- Partner with practice leadership and business development on select growth opportunities, pilots, and client conversations tied to assigned initiatives.
- Help ensure solutions deliver measurable value and are positioned for repeat use and scaled impact.
Innovation to Production Transition
- Own or co-own the transition of validated pilots and MVPs into supported, production-ready solutions.
- Work with innovation, engineering, and operations teams to ensure solutions are operationally viable and ready for broader rollout.
- Identify delivery risks or constraints early and escalate appropriately to support informed prioritization decisions.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as a central delivery lead across solution architecture, enterprise applications, data, UI/UX, and external partners.
- Provide clarity, coordination, and accountability across delivery teams within the scope of assigned initiatives.
- Support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the solution delivery function.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, Advanced degree (e.g., MS, MBA) is a plus but not required.
- 6-10 years of experience delivering digital, data, or platform-based solutions in healthcare, life sciences, or medical communications.
- Demonstrated experience scaling solutions beyond individual projects, including reuse across teams, clients, or workflows.
- Strong understanding of AI-, data-, and analytics-enabled solution delivery, with hands-on experience integrating these capabilities into real-world solutions.
- Proven ability to reduce fragmentation by building repeatable delivery models, standards, or solution components.
- Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery environments across multidisciplinary teams (architecture, engineering, data, design).
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate effectively between business leaders and technical teams.
- Experience delivering complex initiatives on time and within defined scope and budget.
- Familiarity with medical affairs, scientific content, congress workflows, or related domains preferred.
- Proficiency with delivery and project tools such as JIRA, Smartsheets, and SharePoint.
