Director, Growth Enablement
Location: US Remote
Role Summary
The Director, Growth Enablement leads the execution and continuous improvement of centralized growth operations across OPEN Health. The role manages and optimizes end-to-end growth workflows, including intake, data collection, systems inputs, and cross-functional processes, with a constant orientation toward removing friction, improving efficiency, and finding where AI-enabled automation can make the commercial team faster and more focused.
You will partner closely with our Global Client Partners (GCPs), New Business team, Practice Operations, Finance, Knowledge Management, Medical Writing, Creative, and Technology teams to reduce duplication, improve visibility, and enable faster, more seamless execution.
At OPEN Health, every member of the commercial team is responsible for continuously improving their own workflows through AI, not waiting for solutions to be designed for them.
The Director, Growth Enablement leads by example in this area. You will build, refine, and manage your own AI agents and automated workflows to improve how the growth operations function works, and you will help create a culture where continuous improvement through technology is part of how this team operates every day.
This role is a fit for someone who is entrepreneurial and a builder, with a desire to shape and scale business development process, efforts, and growth contribution. You thrive in environments where you can build structure, implement new operational models, and elevate capability maturity across teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Pursuit and RFP/RFI operations
Lead the end-to-end pursuit lifecycle from intake through final presentation. Design and implement a pursuit project management system that gives every RFP and RFI a clear plan, owner, timeline, and cross-functional accountability from day one, and continuously improve it as pursuit volume and complexity evolve. Establish timelines, deliverables, decision points, and accountability across pitch teams. Lead post-pursuit debriefs and learnings to refine and optimize future processes. Track pitch win rates, learnings, and performance trends. Partner with creative, medical, knowledge management, and practice leads to assemble integrated responses that reflect the breadth of OPEN Health's capabilities. Continuously identify where steps in the pursuit process can be automated or AI-enabled, and work with the Growth Transformation team to build and deploy those solutions.
BD pipeline operations and process adherence
Own the process that keeps pipeline data accurate, consistent, and usable. Partner with the commercial team to ensure Salesforce opportunity management follows established ways of working and build the playbooks and training that make adherence straightforward. Ensure reporting cadences run consistently and on time, and that pipeline data is accurate and reliable enough to support commercial decision-making. Continuously evaluate pipeline workflows for friction, inconsistency, and automation opportunity, and act on what you find.
BD analytics, reporting, and commercial systems
Manage and develop the BD analytics function, including a growing direct analytics team, to deliver pipeline intelligence, dashboards, and commercial reporting that gives the commercial team a single source of truth. Coordinate operational CRM delivery and adoption with Salesforce administration and Technology teams. Ensure data accuracy and a consistent reporting layer across the commercial stack. Partner with the analytics team to explore and deploy AI-enabled approaches that improve the speed, quality, and accessibility of commercial intelligence.
Growth enablement infrastructure
Own the development and continuous improvement of commercial playbooks, pursuit templates, and ways of working documentation. Keep these materials current, accurate, and reflective of how the team actually works, and build AI-enabled workflows that reduce the manual effort of maintaining and distributing them. Partner with Knowledge Management on capabilities content and other assets they own, coordinating cadence and ensuring the commercial team has what it needs when it needs it. Lead onboarding and continuous learning programs for BD and account leaders. Champion adoption of new AI tools and ways of working as they roll out.
Cross-functional choreography and practice partnership
Serve as the strategic connector across BD, GCPs, Practice Operations, Finance, Creative, Medical Writing, Knowledge Management, and Corporate Development. Operationalize pursuit discipline, account planning, pipeline management, and pursuit reviews in partnership with commercial leadership. Champion process adoption and change management. Identify where AI-enabled tools can reduce cross-functional friction and partner with Growth Transformation to scope and build those solutions. Ensure pursuit content, scoping, and pricing are aligned, accurate, and compliant. During the current leadership transition period, partner with practice operations leads on Growth Mindset Cascade rollout and Ways of Working adoption across the medical, scientific, and access businesses.
Continuous improvement and AI-enabled operations
Own continuous improvement of commercial operating processes with a clear orientation toward automation and friction removal. Develop, deploy, and maintain your own AI agents to improve how the growth team operates day to day. Build a culture of ongoing process refinement where friction is identified, named, and systematically addressed. Surface automation opportunities across your areas of ownership and partner with Growth Transformation on design and deployment. Establish operating rhythms, documentation, and governance that scale beyond individual effort.
