Job Summary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Produce high quality creative outputs for internal and external clients
- Deliver, and train teams to deliver, head-turning design work
- Push creative boundaries to exceed customer expectations
- Set clear expectations and drive accountability across teams
- Drive a supportive, continuous improvement environment
- Interpret and challenge creative briefs, and drive collaboration within and across creative teams, and account teams, to ensure the best possible solutions are delivered efficiently
- Lead on/input into standard operating procedures, best practices, and training programs across Creative Services globally, in conjunction with senior creative leadership
- Drive team adherence to standard operating procedures and best practices to support smooth collaboration and global workflow management
- Lead by example in maintaining filing structures and naming conventions
- Understand and interpret brand guidelines, ensuring outputs are brand compliant
- Oversee quality control for outputs of other creatives, ensuring accuracy, compliance, caliber, and quality
- Support management of stock assets and fonts
- Monitor and update day-to-day workflow and time management tracking tools, ensuring team members also maintain an accurate picture of job status and capacity
- Ensure team adherence to all external laws, policies and guidelines
- Provide and oversee the provision of effective line management, supporting the career and personal development of assigned line reports and department members
- Ensure all line reports and department members undergo performance review and have appropriate objectives and development plans in place
- Rapidly address under-performance and initiate active management plans to support individuals, as required
- Lead effective training for junior team members in skills, processes, and software
- Direct day-to-day resourcing and workflow in collaboration with Creative Services Managers, including providing holiday cover, as required
- Support Creative Services Managers and freelance staff/suppliers as required, including providing guidance and direction, taking and giving briefings, design and quality control, in conjunction with senior team
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (marketing, design, creative, or medical-related preferred); advanced degree is desirable
- Excellent technical, design, and presentation skills with strong attention to detail, proven through extensive experience in a senior creative role in medical communications
- Proven experience in delivering, and training teams to deliver, head-turning creative outputs across media including, but not limited to, scientific posters, data visualization, medical congress booths, MOA/MOD, AR, VR
- Experience leading a team of creatives in healthcare communications, with proven ability to foster a supportive, collaborative, continuous improvement environment
- Ability to take design concepts and produce high-caliber supporting deliverables for use across a wide variety of print and digital platforms
- Ability to take and give creative briefs
- Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft PPT, (Veeva approvals/Veeva Vault experience a bonus)
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking, and working to tight deadlines
