Associate Research Consultant, Strategic Market Access

Are you passionate about helping patients gain access to innovative treatments? Do you have experience in Dutch Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and market access, and want to work on projects that influence healthcare decision-making?

At OPEN Health, we are looking for an Associate Research Consultant, Strategic Market Access to join our growing Netherlands team. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of science, health economics, and market access, supporting leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in demonstrating the value of their innovations to healthcare stakeholders.

You'll collaborate with experts across market access, HEOR, evidence synthesis, and value communications, while contributing to high-impact projects both within the Netherlands and globally.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Associate Research Consultant, you'll play a key role in delivering strategic market access and HTA projects, including:

Dutch HTA & Market Access

  • Developing and reviewing Dutch pharmacotherapeutic and pharmacoeconomic dossiers
  • Conducting budget impact analyses and cost-effectiveness assessments
  • Adapting global health economic models for the Dutch healthcare environment
  • Leading HTA landscape assessments and supporting market access strategy development
  • Organising and moderating Dutch payer advisory boards

Evidence Generation & Value Communication

  • Contributing to evidence synthesis projects, including systematic and targeted literature reviews
  • Supporting the development of value communication materials such as Global Value Dossiers, payer tools, value propositions, and objection handlers
  • Ensuring high-quality project delivery through quality review and mentoring of junior team members

Client & Business Support

  • Building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting proposal development and business growth initiatives
  • Managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
  • Contributing to thought leadership, publications, and continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

We're interested in professionals who combine strong scientific expertise with commercial awareness and a collaborative mindset.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's degree or PhD in Pharmacy, Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Health Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Statistics, or a related discipline
  • Hands-on experience in HTA and market access
  • Strong experience developing Dutch HTA deliverables
  • Experience supporting evidence synthesis projects, including literature reviews and feasibility assessments
  • Experience contributing to value communication deliverables
  • Native-level Dutch and fluent English language skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Location Requirements

  • Hybrid working model with attendance in our Rotterdam office 1-2 days per week

Travel

  • Approximately 10% international travel
