Associate Project Manager, Promo MedEd

Job Summary

Associate Project Managers are responsible for the timely delivery of a portfolio of quality promotional medical education projects. They establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external project/account delivery stakeholders. They know how to motivate their team members and problem-solve/troubleshoot with team members in a collaborative fashion.

To be successful in this role, experience in the promotional medical education agency industry, specifically in HCP-focused content development, advisory board meetings, speaker training meetings, KOL executive encounters, is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supporting assigned teams on project scope, developing plans/timelines, and driving projects from inception through delivery
  • Working with account and project management, scientific, editorial, and graphics, as well as additional vendors to coordinate resources and ensure appropriate support and communication, including:
    • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
    • Delegating project tasks to team members best positioned to complete them
    • Serving as a point of contact for teams when shared services are in play to ensure team actions remain in synergy
    • Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
    • Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change
    • Developing and maintaining timelines and status reports for each project with internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting account and project teams to ensure the delivery of each project relative to timelines, budget and expenses.

 

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of experience working for a medical communications agency
  • Proficiency in MS365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams. Smart Sheets and/or SharePoint is a PLUS!
  • Complete and comprehensive knowledge of HCP promotional education projects (specifically peer-to-peer focused initiatives, majority of the work is content related)
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to foster integration, collaboration, and teamwork among internal and external stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented, articulate, creative, and positive approach when engaging with all stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills and strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders
  • Possess a clear and complete understanding of evolving medical education policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Strive to become a valued resource to the team and additional stakeholders
  • Continuously and consistently assess, adapt, and meet client needs and expectations.
  • Understand FDA, AMA, and PhRMA Guidelines and State Regulations as they apply to all projects

 

Travel Requirements

  • The ability to travel and meet with clients as required to maintain effective relationships
  • The ability to travel by airplane (up to 10%)
