Assistant Account Manager

Job Summary

As a Assistant Account Manager/Senior Account Executive you will be involved at every stage, from pitch to delivery.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Project management support: supporting your team in delivering to the client brief, identifying issues on the project and flagging to senior members of the team, maintaining timelines, status reports and reconciliations on the projects you are involved in. You will also be helping to develop project briefs, estimates and timelines for new projects
  • Financial management – this includes invoicing, budgeting, forecasting, financial tracking, and using company systems
  • Client communication – you will be expected to participating in meetings and communicating the status of projects to the client using the weekly status report
  • Developing client relationships to better understand the client’s requirements and working culture/practices
  • Team Working and engaging colleagues – You will be supporting senior members of the team in project briefings and project delivery internally. You will be expected to be able to support your wider delivery team in developing your project. This may be through briefing meetings or ad hoc conversations in the office. You will become a key point of contact for the projects you work on so it’s important to cultivate positive relationships within the agency
  • Supporting the development of project business requirements and specification documents in collaboration with development team
  • Evaluating and quality checking work before presentation to the client
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times about Company business
  • Maintain your knowledge and curiosity.  We work in a fascinating area of the healthcare industry, it’s important that you take time to research work-relevant areas that interest you and enrich your offering to the team!

 

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree or communications or journalism or relevant field. Advanced degrees are appreciated
  • Account handling experience, ideally in a medical communications, healthcare advertising agency or healthcare charity
  • Driven and passionate with regards to your career and personal development
  • Outstanding time management and organisational skills to be able to prioritise work effectively
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Excellent presentation skills, ability to be able to communicate a concept or idea
  • A team player with good collaboration skills
  • Proactive, ability to work under own initiative, deliver to deadlines and focus under pressure
  • A sense of ownership and personal responsibility
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent desk research skills, ability to rapidly gain knowledge in diverse healthcare, technology and science subject areas
  • Some technical awareness or experience of developing digital projects such as websites, or applications for mobile devices (desirable but not essential)
  • Driving license and a car (desirable but not essential)
