Account Manager | Patient Engagement
Job Summary
The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for the oversight and management of multiple clients and brands. This includes end-to-end support of all project deliverables including participating in the planning, development, execution, delivery, and overall project management of patient engagement (PE) deliverables.
AMs direct assigned account team members to ensure that all activities and documents meet timeline, financial, and quality objectives and commitments. This requires the ability to manage multiple projects, monitor deadlines, prioritize work, evaluate the cost-effectiveness and productivity of team and individual performance, and identify, analyze, and adjust work procedures and relationships to maximize efficiency.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Account Management
- Responsible for, and manages day-to-day activities related to all assigned client accounts
- Fosters strong client relationships as the main point of contact and proactively problem solves issues
- Manages clients’ expectations effectively, and ensures all minutes, trackers and reports are accurate and up to date
- Confidently leads clients calls and exhibits solid presentation skills
- Demonstrates expert knowledge of each client’s business, account, brand, therapy area and overall scope
Tactics and Execution
- Provides clear and confident direction to cross-functional agency team
- Independently leads briefing of deliverables, and evaluates outputs and tactical plans against strategic direction and provides constructive feedback
- Ensure timely, quality delivery of all projects and outputs and coordinates senior sign off
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Fosters integration, collaboration, and teamwork among team members
- Liaises with key internal stakeholders to manage the timely delivery of tactics
Business Development
- Demonstrates a clear understanding of the new business process and supports new business teams with administrative tasks and ideas
- Contributes ideas for organic growth of accounts and coordinates senior team members to progress opportunities
- Demonstrates clear understanding of how the PE offering can be applied to different client challenges
Financial Oversight
- Ensures work is completed within budget and demonstrates team accountability for:
- Scope of Work development
- Client signed estimates, Purchase Orders and invoice tracking
- Accurate and timely budget reconciliations for all projects
- Continued efforts to realize cost savings and manage any risks proactively
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, biology, life sciences, or related field
- Significant experience in professional client relationship management, background in biopharmaceutical patient marketing (client or agency side) a plus
- Demonstrated financial management skills
- Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work in a fast-paced work environment, and to achieve goals in a timely fashion
- Excellent listening and presentation abilities
- Excellent organizational skills, multi-tasking skills and keen attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and desire to deliver high-quality work
- Superior interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficient in MS365 including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Teams; knowledge of Veeva a plus
- Ability to make clear, concise decisions and solve complex problems.
- Strength in fostering and maintaining productive, successful working partnerships with clients (at all levels) as well as the internal OH team
Travel Requirements
- As required by business needs
